Santin West was named Khan of the Novacat Clan in 3060, after the previous Nova Cat Khans (Severen Leroux and Lucian Carns) died in the Great Refusal War on Strana Mechty. From early on he was one of the best Elementals of the Nova Cats, and rose in rank rapidly.

Santin West fought in Caripare (3050), Luthien (3052) and Tukkayid (3052), surviving with skill and accumulating an impressive number of victories against 'Mechs. Later, in 3058, he was among those who fought against Stirling's Fusiliers (Northwind Highlanders) who were masked like troops of the Smoke Clan Jaguar during Operation Bulldog.

His tactical flexibility made him gain the position of the first Khan of the Clan Nova Cat now affiliated with the SLDF.

Ever since in 3061 Theodore Kurita granted to the Clan Nova Cat the Prefecture of Irece, Khan West has dedicated his energy to convince his people to accept their Clan's change of affiliation and relocate the Nova Cats population to the Inner Sphere.

Santin West is somewhat short for an Elemental. He has very short spikey bleached white hair. He uses a battle suit is distinctively jet black.
