Ravill Pryde is of Clan Wolf genetic heritage, though he holds the name Pryde. He was a product of the Scientist Caste fiddling with Warrior genes from different Clans. He is short, a small man. His physique is also very nontypical of Jade Falcon MechWarriors, and for a Pryde. He is hairy, thin built, with long skinny arms, pale almost sickly looking complexion, and small eyes.

The young Ravill won his Trial of Position becoming a Star Colonel after he defeated all his opponents' 'Mechs and even his sibmate's 'Mech by using clever tactical genius and slyness.

As a newly ranked and Bloodnamed Star Colonel he was sent to take over the Falcon Guards after the loss of its previous leader Star Colonel Aidan Pryde in battle during Tukayyid. Ravill Pryde is skilled at ordering his subordinates, and at conjuring heroism and spirit in his younger warriors, and then trying to show the greatness Aidan Pryde within himself. His self heroism never convinced Star Commander Joanna or MechWarrior Horse that he was a hero or an equal to Aidan Pryde, but they always obey his orders. Despite his genetic origins, Ravill Pryde is completely loyal to Clan Jade Falcon and his unusual battle methods have been a help to the Jade Falcons.

Ravill Pryde realized Star Commander Joanna's skill despite her age. During the second battle on Twycross, Star Colonel Ravill Pryde ordered Joanna out of the fight, so he could have her duel with the Wolve's legendary Khan Natasha Kerensky. Joanna won, and slew the old Khan in 'Mech combat. Ravill used Joanna's victory to help demoralize the Wolves, and to add to his own glory.
