Ranna is from the same sibko Wolf as Vladimir, Evantha and Carew, but none of them share gene parents. Ranna and Vlad are of the MechWarrior phenotype, whereas Carew is an Aeropilot, and Evantha is an Elemental. Ranna is a strangely white haired mechwarrior who owns a pet surat, and likes to paint and do art during her free time.

After Vlad captured the young mercenary Phelan Kell of the Kell Hounds and took him as bondsman, Ranna was sent to instruct him and she also ended up befriending Phelan. She taught him some of Clan ways, and also coupled with him on off time. At first she became confused by the strange unClanlike feelings of love she aquired for Phelan.

Ranna is a good 'Mech pilot, and showed Phelan impressive skill when she trained with him. She prefers to pilot her Warhawk over other 'Mechs, and enjoys showing its destructive power.

Ranna fought during the Refusal War, and ended up among the Warden side of the Wolf Clan, still friend of Phelan, and backing his forces. Ranna Kerensky is the holder of Natasha Kerensky's Bloodname slot.

Ranna Kerensky now leads in the 4th Wolf Guards Assault Cluster "Wolf Bane" in Alph Galaxy of the Exiled Clan Wolf.

Toward the end of 3060, Khan Kell took his fourth Wolf Guards to Utrecht, formerly of the Draconis Combine, and challenged the Bears for the contents of one newly arrived Ghost Bear "ark" ship. The prefab buildings and equipment it contained included resources for building entire factory complexes, which the Wolves very much needed. The Ghost Bears accepted the challenge and even allowed the Wolves safcon. Star Colonel Ranna Kerensky led the main drive, while Star Captain Ragnar led a flanking maneuver that met heavy resistance from the elite trinary command of the Third Bear Guard. Ragnar's Trinary fell after hard fighting, and Ragnar was claimed as bondsman by Ghost Bear Star Colonel Sarah DelVillar.
