Clan MechWarriors are genetically bred by Clan scientists for piloting BattleMechs in combat.
Between MechWarriors, Aeropilots, and Elementals, MechWarriors have a more normal build and appearance.
They come in many sizes, some almost as tall as a shorter Elemental and short MechWarriors are not as common and are larger than an aeropilot. Most MechWarrior bloodlines though tend to be between the previous examples and are often more muscular and taller than the average freebirth.
Like other Clan Warriors they are bred to be strong and accomplish their area of combat role and expertise.
They constantly train their bodies and minds and reflexes in hand to hand weaponed and weaponless combat and calisthenics, and they also train their skill and endurance in BattleMechs with live weapons. Clan Warriors rarely use simulators, but the use of them is not unheard of.
