Lincoln Osis
ilKhan, Clan Smoke Jaguar, (deceaced)

Rank / post: Ilkhan after the death of former IlKhan Leo Showers, previosly Khan of the Clan Smoke Jaguar.
Year of birth: 3014 (45 years)

Lincoln Osis was a Smoke Jaguar Elemental Warrior with a deeply Crusader mindset, who served an impressive career. He was a powerful black man of African descent. He was fierce and displayed a frightening voice and a large and fearsome image. For his ruthlessness he became notorious. A sly tactcican, Lincoln Osis quickly rose up the ranks in his Clan, making many victories. Lincoln Osis was also a very skilled warrior physically and was adept at using katana sword and Elemental Battle Armor.

When at the end of 3048 Clan Smoke Jaguar Khan Leo Showers left his position to become ilKhan of the invasion, he left free a position of Jaguar Khan. Lincoln Osis was the most popular Jaguar candidate on that moment, and he would have to fight against saKhan Sarah Weaver in her attempt become Khan. That Lincoln Osis could achieve the rank of Khan never seemed possible for an Elemental in Clan Smoke Jaguar, - a merit of his tactical genius and impecable persistence.

Not much is known about his days before becoming Khan, but he first comes into the spotlight commanding Jaguar forces in the initial assaults on Periphery and Combine worlds. Khan Osis in the beginning was able to stay out of the politics of the invasion of the Inner Sphere. But shortly after the tragic death of ilKhan Leo Showers, Lincoln Osis dove headlong into them by working with Khan Chistu of the Jade Falcons to cause trouble for Clan Wolf Khan Ulric Kerensky.

Failing to frame Ulric for the ilKhan's death, Osis and Chistu then decided to nominate the Warden Khan of Clan Wolf as the new ilKhan, a move that they hoped would neutralize Ulric's opposition to the invasion.

After sweeping brutally through many Combine worlds, and the preparations for the assault on Luthien completed, ilKhan Kerensky gave the honor of overall command to Khan Osis. Osis was overjoyed. Not only would his warriors finally get the true test of their mettle that they deserved, but the success of the campaign would give him the political and military clout to challenge Kerensky for the position of ilKhan.

Osis, although having planned well for the Luthien conflict, did not count on the sudden appearance of the Kell Hounds and Wolf's Dragoons. The defeat was complete, and Osis and the Jaguars boarded their dropships with nearly 50% losses.

Hopes for glorious battle did not dwindle however, as ilKhan Kerensky announced the coming proxy battle for the most coveted trophy of the entire invasion, Terra. Khan Osis rejoiced in having the honor to be the first to set foot on Tukayyid. He believed that Comstar's Com Guards would be easy pickings because ComStar had only shown the Clans its pacifist side.

Leading the Jaguar's Alpha Galaxy into the Dinju Mountains near Port Racice and Dinju heights, Khan Osis' campaign went well initially with only modest resistance from the green Com Guards 50th division. Confident of victory, Osis and his forces marched into the pass that sheltered the target cities and the hidden Com Guard's heavy 299th division.

However on the plains at Tukayyid his tactical abilities could not rescue his Clan from the overwhelming strategic advantage of Inner Sphere forces. Clan Smoke Jaguar retreated from the battlefield, having incurred more than 50 percentage losses and having apparently lost both leaders - saKhan Sara Weaver perished when her Warhawk was blown up, Khan Kinkaid Furey also died in the fighting, and Lincoln Osis was thought to be dead.

Charging through the pass, the Jaguars suddenly found themselves confronted with not only the 299th, but the 323rd Com Guard division. The ambush was devastating, and in the ensuing melee a Com Guard Mechwarrior picked off Khan Osis with a well placed laser shot against Osis' battle armor. Khan Lincoln Osis of the Smoke Jaguars was thought to be dead. The Clan rallied the rest of its three Galaxies and successfully arranged them under Brandon Howell, who was soon to become Khan. Star Colonel Brandon Howell was elected Khan shortly after the Clans' defeat on Tukayyid, only to be shocked with the news that Khan Osis had survived the battle, apparently rescued during salvage operations on Tukayyid. Lincoln Osis returned, like a phoenix from ashes of the defeat, to once again assume command of the Clan, and Howell graciously accepted his leader's return and departed aside, taking the position of saKhan instead. Still without an ilKhan, the Khans of the Clans returned to Strana Mechty to vote for their next leader.

After the death of former ilKhan Ulric Kerensky the Clans gathered on the Strana Mechty to choose new ilKhan. Elias Crichell was elected ilKhan, but his reign quickly ended when he was brought to trial before the Khans, and then killed by Vladimir of the Wolves. Once thought dead in the fighting on Tukayyid, Khan Lincoln Osis returned from the grave, and presented himself as a candidate for the post to of ilKhan of the Clans. Through clever engineering by Vladimir Ward of the Wolves, and Marthe Pryde of the Jade Falcons, Lincoln Osis was elected ilKhan of the Clans on November 19, 3058, hoping to continue the invasion of the Inner Sphere. It remained to be seen if ilKhan Lincoln Osis could emerge from the ever rising tide of politics unscathed. It seemed that when the invasion was renewed the Clans would quickly smite Inner Sphere forces.

However, many following events in Clan Smoke Jaguar's history proved to the anger and dismay and untimately the demise of the ilKhan. Not only would the the failure at Tukkayid and the halt on continued invasion would haunt him. A new threat was headed its way for Lincoln Osis and Clan Smoke Jaguar.

Soon Operation Bulldog began, forces from the Inner Sphere penetrated into Clan territory, attacking the Smoke Jaguars. When the revived Star League began to beat out Jaguar forces from their positions, Lincoln Osis desperately tried to hide this information from other Clans. However when news filtered, all Clans unanimously agreed, that it was the personal problem of the Smoke jaguars, and that no Clan either will help defend. The other Clans in refused to aid his Clan to fight the Inner Sphere attacks on Clan Smoke Jaguar and Huntress.

In 3060 the Inner Sphere forces of the new SDLF attacked Strana Mechty. Soon after his Clan engaged in final battles. Lincoln Osis, the tenth Ikhan of the Clans died during the Trial of Refusal by Inner Sphere against invasion of Clans when Prince Victor Steiner-Davion, the commander of the Forward Army of Star League beat him in a sword duel. Beaten, Lincoln Osis refused to surrender himself to the SDLF and no longer be able to live as a warrior. He then allowed Victor Steiner-Davion to decapitate his head with a katana blade. With most of its manpower and assets wiped out, Clan Smoke Jaguar was defeated and it ceased to be a Clan.

Lincoln Osis used the Elemental Battle Armor.
