Bred in a MechWarrior sibko, the man who would become the Khan of the Ghost Bears failed his initial Trial of Position. Tests showed aptitude for aerospace piloting, and so he was transferred to that division according to Ghost Bear custom for trueborns. He passed his second Trial of Position with flair, scoring three kills and earning the inital rank of Star Captain. An exceptional pilot, he is also a skilled field commander, thanks in part to his early training as a MechWarrior, which gives him a better understanding of all the forces under his command. Bjorn served with distinction in the 140th STriker Cluster during the first waves of the Inner Sphere invasion; he earned the rank of Star Colonel shortly before becoming Khan.

Khan Jorgensson is large and muscular, especially compared to aerospace pilot from other Clans, and is said to pilot a Kirghiz because it is the only fighter large enough to accomodate him. He is generally soft-spoken, letting saKhan Kabrinski do most of the aggressive talking in Council. The saKhan often takes the role of field commander, leaving Jorgensson to act as a strategist.
