She lives life for herself and her own honor and prestige, and that makes her a poor team member. Her cockiness sometimes leads to fights, or others disliking her. Her emphasis on her own self and agendas sometimes leads to insubordination.

Bethany is a proud trueborn. She is quick to defend her honor, and she does not like freebirths much. Of coarse she did not like MechWarrior Gregori, a freeborn, being a member of the same Trinary as hers. Added to that, his liking to rile up and start conflicts with arrogant trueborns caused an abrasive relationship between him and Bethany that increased the chances of uncooperativeness during battle.

MechWarrior Bethany was hand picked into Star Captain Angela Bekker's trinary in the Command Star. Star Captain Bekker decided to overlook Bethany's bad traits in order to use her good ones, and hoped Bethany could be trained to improve in her weaker areas learn to cooperate with others.
