Aidan Pryde
Star Colonel, (Deceased), Commander of Falcon Guard Cluster, Clan Jade Falcon

Aidan was strong and spirited even at a young age. In his sibko days before cadet training, Aidan's sibko was attacked by bandits while camping. After his sibmother was killed by the bandit groups's leader, Aidan broke into a fury and killed many of the bandits before they fled.

Aidan's life has been a constant battle since the day his sibko landed on Ironhold for cadet training. There, Star Commander Joanna was the Falconer for Aidan's sibko. Aidan was strong willed and when Falconer Joanna knocked Aidan down, he had the gall to keep getting back up, and from that day on they hated each other. Joanna vowed to make life hard on cadet Aidan, and several times she came close to killing him. Falconer Commander Ter Roshak thought he recognized Aidan as the virtual reincarnation of a former commanding officer, Ramon Mattlov. Because Commander Roshak wanted to honour his respected commander, even after his death, he took a great interest in young Aidan. Sibkin Marthe was Aidan's best friend in the sibko. In training Aidan excelled. He had the highest kill count on freebirth opponnents above many years of cadet predecessors. That killing was attributed to the battle rage he went into when his sibkin Marthe was being attacked and beaten by freebirth cadets. Aidan was a very thoughful person. It was somtimes his bitter downfall, and other times a great inspiration that helped win battles.

Aidan failed his Trial of Position when Marthe took down his 'Mech to gain her status to Star Commander. He had been over eager to take too many opponents on at once. After Aidan failed his Trial of Position, Commander Ter began to work on a plan to give him a second chance.

After failing to become a warrior, Aidan had difficulty accepting life as a Technician, and fled. He wandered worlds following and attacking bandits and living outside of regular culture. He managed to find the world where Peri, a previous wash-out from his same sibko had been stationed. He had a short reunion with Peri and they coupled, but soon he was tracked down and captured by Star Commander Joanna. She was sent out by Falconer Ter Roshak to bring Aidan back to Ironhold.

Ter Roshak had staged events to set up Aidan on an illegal second chance to become a Clan Warrior. Ter Roshak set up an accident that murderously destroyed a freeborn sibko and had a bright young freebirth by the name of Jorge replaced by Aidan. Ter Roshak had Aidan assume the cadet's identity and sent him into a freeborn sibko. In this new company, Aidan was immediately recognized by Horse who had previously fought Aidan in training against Aidan's trueborn sibko where the two despised each other. Horse did not tell his superiors that he knew who Aidan was. Eventually the two became friends and Aidan helped Horse in technical expertise in which Horse had previously not done so well in. During their Trial of position, Horse and Aidan both achieved the rank of MechWarrior after they used teamwork to pull it through.

Aidan served many years posing as a freebirth, mainly garrisoning on unimportant worlds, and the whole time he worked alongside and remained friends with Horse. Aidan though always held his trueborn pride and he often had scuffles with trueborn warriors who scorned him as a freeborn.

Aidan served as Star Commander among freeborns serving garrison duty on the Jade Falcon-held planet Glory Station. There Aidan and Horse had many scuffles with arrogant trueborns, and Aidan even killed a more irritating and forward freeborn basher by the name of Star Commander Bast. The killing of a trueborn by a freebirth angered the garrison's commander.

Not long after, Clan Wolf ships arrived in space nearby. Star Colonel Mikel Furey of Clan Wolf declared a bid to take the genetic legacy of Kael Pershaw, Glory base's commander. Star Commander Jorge (Aidan) devised a plan to defeat the Wolves and presented it to the still bitter Kael Pershaw. Pershaw ignored him at first, then later decided to go with "Jorge's" plan. Aidan's strategy worked, and the Wolves were forced to leave Glory Station empty handed.

Immediately after the battle, Aidan made his claim to fight in the upcoming Pryde Bloodname contest, and devulged the information on his past and that he was not a freeborn but a trueborn named Aidan. Convicted of treason to the Clans in a trial before the Grand Council, and later fought a Trial of Refusal to pass execution. Then he fought in a Grand Melee in order to become a contestant for the final slot in the Trial of Bloodright. Aidan barely made it through the final stage of the Trial of Bloodright, and won the Bloodname Pryde. Aidan Pryde went on to serve a long and glorious as a MechWarrior.

Star Colonel Aidan Pryde was eventually given command of the Falcon Guards. His role was to bring them back into a fighting unit after their staggering defeat and loss of a great many warriors on Twycross to the Inner Sphere. The unit was in a demoralized state, and most warriors brought in to fill the holes were poorly trained and some were rebellious and misfits. Aidan ordered Star Captain Joanna to bring them back into shape. Joanna led the Falcon Guards through rigorous physical and metal training and unified them into a cooperating working combat unit.

Star Colonel Aidan Pryde led the Falcon Guard against the ComGuards on Tukayyid. He planned to have them cross the Prezno River, and ordered all 'Mechs to have jump jets installed. Aidan Pryde's battle strategies helped the Falcon Guards maneuver largely unscathed, to fight the Com Guards with small losses. Aidan Pryde lost his life while outnumbered and protecting the dropShips fleeing off Tukayyid. After the battle of Tukayyid, Aidan Pryde was remembered as a hero, and his genetic legacy was quicky afterward entered into the breeding program to produce generations of fine MechWarriors, giving Star Colonel Aidan Pryde the Clans' highest honour.

Aidan Pryde's favorite 'Mech to pilot was the Summoner.
