Whongus Declares a Trial

Fetladral Cliff Late afternoon
Whongus's Challenge
Whongus Hazen headed for the 83rd Assault Trinary's section of the base. He intended to find Zanek. Earlier during his trek he had seen in the distance Zanek and a Dire Wolf Star Commander from her Trinary headed toward her quarters. Whongus began to trot that way. Now from his distance he could see into the shelter's wide opening. He could just see the two Mechs in there.
As Whongus reached the building he could see Zanek's back and knees. He could also smell the reak of Dire Wolf odors. He approached closer and could see the Mechs were mating, and had been doing so for a while for they were alreay quite into it. He continued forward and the rhythm of their movements were increasing. As he reached the doorway he could smell a mixture of odors emanating from the room including the regular Dire Wolf stink, but now with the added smells from their mating, and other vile smells that he did not like.
Whongus stood there watching the two assault class OmniMechs becoming more and more engaged in their action. He enjoyed it a little. Then he said as he watched the two behemoths, "Greetings, I am Star Captain Whongus Hazen, I hereby challenge you Star Captain Zanek to a Trial of Grievance." The Mechs continued their actions, but he knew Zanek was also having to concentrate on listening to him. They moved faster and faster, and he heard the slight thuds of their hard elbows and hips bumping into each other. "Do you accept my offer?" Zanek growled as their mating became more and more enjoyable. The other Dire Wolf made noises too. They continued until their mating reached its peak and then finally lessened. They kept moving a while longer, then Zanek turned slightly and disconnected from her partner as she backed a step to face Whongus. "I accept your challenge Whongus Hazen," she said. Whongus responded, "It will take place at Talber valley." Zanek continued looking and responded with her part of the batchall, "Full armaments shall be used and the battle one versus one. Well bargained", she said, and Whongus continued, "I will opt not to use missiles. Instead I will fight with my lasers and add maybe a few heat sinks." Zanek replied, "Okay then, It is done". Whongus agreed, "Well bargained and done".
But Zanek broke in while she started to turn back to her previous position again with the male Dire Wolf, but kept her torso angled at Whongus, "You will have to wait Whongus, for I have a Trial coming up tomorrow. Whongus looked with interest, "With who?" Zanek responded, "With the new Timber Wolf member of your Trinary, Sabunov." Whongus was a little surprised. "I have not known about it yet." Zanek responded, "She just challenged me not long ago." Zanek returned to her coupling partner, and they began mating again. Zanek and the other Dire Wolf quickly sped up pace and Zanek moved agressively to encourage him, quite possibly driven by a new liviliness stemming from the fact that she now had gained the honor of fighting Whongus in a Trial.
Whongus watched for a while, then he turned and began to head away from the building and its inside activity.
