WARHAWKPPC

I started using the nickname WarhawkPPC out of my fondness for the primary configuration of the 85 ton Clan Warhawk OmniMechs and their armament of extended-range particle projection cannons, (ER PPCs).

Before I played PC games, I played a small amount of BattleTech and Dungeons & Dragons with some very small groups which soon disbanded, after which I did no interactive games for several years. I was introduced to online PC gaming when I played a limited amount of MechWarrior 2 in the Zone in the late '90's. Later, I started gaming more often in the Zone in summer 2000, mostly playing MechWarrior 3 and Pirate's Moon. Clan Goliath Scorpion was the first MechWarrior 3 Clan I joined back in June 2000. I was in several MechWarrior 3 gaming units over time, including CCW (Clan Crusader Wolf), CSH (Clan ShadowHawk), RR (Ryan's Rebels), and CGB (Clan Ghost Bear). After that I mostly played MechWarrior 4 and Black Knight either with CSH, CGB or the reformed CCW. I still liked MechWarrior 3 and MechWarrior 2, but I played them less often since my units transferred to Mech4. Below are some of the aliases I used in Mech 3 and 4...

- Clan Goliath Scorpion Warhawk Elam (CGS_Warhawk)
- Clan Shadow Hawk WarhawkFire (CSH_WarhawkFire)
- Clan Ghost Bear Stormcrow Tseng (CGB_Stormcrow_T)
- Clan Crusader Wolf - Warhawk (CCW_Warhawk)
- Ryan's Rebels - Mayhem (RR_Mayhem)

More about me
I am is Lisa Ostrander. I was a college student majoring in geography at SSU in 1999 and 2000 trying to work on a B.A. I also took computer courses at the local Junior College and was working on getting certificates in phostoshop and computer graphics and design. I graduated from Santa Rosa Junior College in 1999 (just got an A.S. and A.A.).

I know some HTML, and am kindof good with Photoshop, but I am not anywhere near advanced yet. I am learning Adobe Illustrator 10, and Flash MX actionscripting. I want to learn more CCS and eventually learn some perl, ASP, and C++. I am very interested in aviation and hope to go to Embry-Riddle if I get an opportunity. I spent three months last winter being a volunteer at Point Reyes National Seashore and fell in love with the place. At the park I lived in a place on the penninsula jutted 10 miles out to the ocean and very close to the Lighthouse, and drove my truck a lot around there on the long and winding roads. This year I got training to be a turboshaft engine mechanic at an Army school in Virginia. These life changes and moving from place to place are much of why I have not played any MechWarrior or worked much on my website for about a year. So far I like working on turbine engines.

Some of my hobbies are drawing (with pens or computer), making web pages, creating stories, camping, traveling, going to airshows, birdwatching, martial arts, playing video games (mostly MechWarrior 4 online), studying things, recording bird and aircraft sounds, flying (when I get to), and enjoying my pigeons including Mr. Poopia aka Patsy (I have to go home to do that though). I also have quite a habit of getting 'lost' in thought.

One of my good longtime friends is Monty. He hosts some of the content of my website. Together we like to travel and take pictures of scenery, wildlife, aircraft, and vehicles.
His websitepages: The Mono Basin Archives, which is under construction, and Mebonty, Monty's personal pages.

It might look like a piece of junk but I like it. Too bad my dad will probably sell it since I am living in Korea right now. :(
